Energy Champions are community volunteers who provide friendly, local energy advice and help people access grants, lower their energy bills, and improve their home’s efficiency.
What do Energy Champions do? As an Energy Champion, you’ll bring your ideas and enthusiasm to help your community save energy and cut costs. There are many ways to get involved, including:
supporting at events and sharing practical advicehosting talks on home energy improvementsproviding resources , advice, and information at eventswriting blogs on energy saving tipsbecoming a local point of contact in your community signposting and referring people at risk of fuel poverty in your frontline workadvocating for energy efficiency changes within your community and workplacesharing feedback on energy policies to help improve supportWho can apply to become an Energy Champion? You don't need any prior experience to become an Energy Champion, just enthusiasm and a passion for helping your community save energy. Whether you have spare time to volunteer or want to integrate this into your job, we offer flexible opportunities to get involved.

What training and support will I get? All volunteers receive free 'Energy Essentials' training from the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) . If your focus is on signposting people to available organisations and resources, a shorter training option is available.
You will be supported throughout by Bath and West Community Energy (BWCE) , with ongoing guidance and resources.
