Home energy improvements
Is your home hard to heat? Are you struggling with your energy bills? Do you want some low or no cost energy saving tips? Are you interested in bigger projects, such as insulation, heat pump or solar panels but would like some independent advice first? Do you live in a listed building and not sure what energy efficiency improvements you are allowed to make? Are you interested in teaming up with neighbours to create a Home Energy Neighbourhood to make improvements together?
Come along for a free afternoon of practical advice, inspiring ideas and expert guidance on making your home more energy efficient. There’s something for everyone - homeowners and renters alike.
There will be information stalls, talks, videos and even a 'Cosy Homes Kit' (samples of low-cost insulation and draught-proofing materials).
Bite sized talks
Each talk is a short overview to help you identify the best people to discuss your needs with.
- 2.30pm - Home Energy Retrofit – what improvements can you make and what help can you get?
- 3pm - Heat Pumps – what do you need to know?
- 3.30pm - Getting started - practical next steps you can take following today
There will also be an opportunity to book a 10-minute free advice session with a Home Energy Adviser on the day. Alternatively, you can just turn up and chat to all the various advisers at your leisure.
